Well there is some bad news and good news. The bad news is that the non-native lionfish is heavily establishing itself in the Atlantic and Carribean. You should carefully kill any lionfish you may encounter in your fishing or diving activities. The good news is that they are excellent eating. They do have poisonous spines that can inflict great pain if impaled. So do all of this at your own risk and be very careful. Here is how we cleaned and ate them in the Bahamas.

Ahh the joys of boating could be more fully enjoyed if it were not for the rigors of trailering the boat. Eventually you are going to get a flat tire on your boat trailer and the question becomes, can you get the lug nuts off to change it. There are other questions too, like do we have a spare tire, is there air in it? Here is a quick tip to ensure they are not balls of rust and frustration.
